En principio, el co&amp;shy;che iba destinado a la Fórmula Junior. Monte&amp;shy;verdi llamó a su creación MBM (Monteverdi Basel Motors), el coche funcio&amp;shy;nó bien, sobre todo contaba con el orgullo de ser el primer automóvil de Formula 1 fabricado integramente en suiza. El MBM se retiró de la competición a raiz de un accidente, Monteverdi se vio muy afectado y decidió dejar las carreras. Dos años des&amp;shy;pués desarrolló un coche de carreras con motor Porsche; tuvo una mala experiencia con él y se pasó a los coches deportivos y los descapotables deportivos.&lt;br /&gt;Sus primeros coches llevaban motores Osca; posteriormente, casi siempre iban movidos por potentes motores Chrysler V-8. Entre 1969 y 1980, este fabricante suizo presentó todos los años un modelo nuevo en el Salón del Automóvil de Gine&amp;shy;bra, el modelo más exitoso fue el 375. Solían ser casi siempre cupés y descapotables rápidos, pero también coches todoterreno e in&amp;shy;cluso un prototipo Range Rover de cuatro puer&amp;shy;tas, que posteriormente salió a producción con el nombre de Range Rover Monteverdi. Pero sin embargo en el terreno off-road fueron dos los modelos que marcaron la producción de Monteverdi, el Safari de 1976 y el Sahara de 1978, ambos modelos fueron rival del Range Rover, practica mente el único 4x4 de lujo que había en aquella época, por tanto hay que reconocer a Monteverdi no sólo como constructor de coches deportivos, sino también como uno de los pioneros en todoterrenos de lujo. Es difícil saber cuántos coches ha hecho Peter Monteverdi porque éste, que pasó sus últimos años en Ma&amp;shy;rruecos, no sabría decirlo tampoco.&lt;br /&gt;Los últimos ejemplares, que eran principal&amp;shy;mente coches de pruebas, salieron de su taller en 1980. En 1990 Monteverdi adquirió la escudería de F1 Onyx, sin embargo no pudo hacer frente a las dificultades que ya acarreaba la compañía y sólo pudo disputar 10 de los 16 Grandes Premios del Mundial de 1990. En el Salón del Automóvil de Ginebra de 1992, Monteverdi puso un pequeño stand: en él expuso un coche deportivo de color púrpura pálido, llamado el Hai F1, del que, según él, se ven&amp;shy;dieron cinco ejemplares. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; Muchas exposiciones, mucho trabajo realizado y a realizar lo cual me pone muy contento y con muchísimas ganas de encarar el año próximo con muchas esperanzas y fuerzas renovadas por la buena aceptación que tiene mi trabajo y el hecho de ver que voy mejorando de una ilustración a otra, siempre buscando nuevos desafíos en lo artístico y aprendiendo con los problemas que se me presentan. &lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Como ya les comentara en las dos notas anteriores, con motivo de celebrarse el fin de semana que pasó el Rally 100 Millas Históricas de Páraná, fui invitado por la gente del CAACER a exponer mis pinturas sobre autos clásicos y sport en el hall del Hotel Howard Johnson Mayorazgo de la mencionada ciudad los que tuvieron una gran aceptación por parte del gran público que se hizo presente. Pero a la vez pude sumar otro cuadro en el stand de la gente de Volvo y tener la grata invitación del Sr. Luis Zschocke (conductor del programa New Tune Up que se emite por El Garage TV), a exponer en el suyo el año que viene.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Fue una experiencia muy importante no sólo por el hecho de poder ver en un solo lugar tantos y tan buenos autos y motos sino por la positiva aceptación de mis trabajos de gente como Rubén Daray, el anteriormente mencionado Luis Zschocke, el "Padre Aldo" (Retromovil por El Garage TV), como así también el público en general que al pasar por los lugares donde se encontraban mis cuadros se detenían a apreciarlos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;También fue importante la posibilidad de conocer trabajos originales de otros colegas que pintan sobre el tema automovilístico como son los señores Jorge García, Alfredo de la María y Jorge Ferreyra Basso.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Realmente Autoclásica es una experiencia única para quienes amamos los autos clásicos y sport. Lo que sí fue una verdadera lástima es el hecho de que este año no contamos con el stand de autos del Sr. Pérez Companc quien siempre expone autos realmente interesantes. Igualmente la presencia de otros ejemplares que no habían estado en otras ediciones nos gratificó plenamente y colmó las expectativas de todos los allí presentes.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Mis felicitaciones a la gente del C.A.C. En el mismo pudieron apreciarse los diez cuadros que preceden a esta nota, Alfa Romeo 1900 Zágato de 1953, Volvo 122 S del `63, Porsche 356 de 1964, Ford Mustang GT ´65, Ford Mustang Boss 302 del `70, Porsche 914 de 1975, Fiat 124 Spider `78, Porsche 924 de 1979, Alfa Romeo Spider `80 y Porsche 911 Targa de 1981. Nueve de estos autos representan al Club de Autos Clásicos y Sport de dicha ciudad; el restante, el Alfa Romeo 1900 Zapato de 1953, a la república hermana de Chile.&lt;br /&gt;El hecho de que aparezca este auto que no pertenece a dicho club no es antojadizo sino que, gracias a una foto de ese Alfa subida allá por junio de este año por el Sr. Leopoldo Boulin a su Facebook, fue que nos pusimos en contacto. A raíz de esto él conoció mi obra surgió la posterior invitación para realizar una muestra en su ciudad.&lt;br /&gt;Todos los cuadros que pinté fueron realizados en técnicas de pastel a la tiza o pastel seco como también se lo conoce excepto el del Fiat 124 Spider que está pintado con tinta china aguada.&lt;br /&gt;Estos mismos cuadros fueron expuestos también los días 24 y 25 de setiembre en The Vines of Mendoza, vinoteca destinada al turista donde mayoritariamente concurren extranjeros, sobre todo de Estados Unidos, Europa y Australia, y donde se pueden degustar los mejores vinos de Mendoza. Tanto en el Sheraton como en The Vines pudimos apreciar la excelencia de los vinos de autor presentados por el joven y excelente enólogo mendocino Gonzalo Mazzotta quien realizó una explicación de las características y bondades que diferencian su exclusivo vino (se envasan solamente 2000 botellas por año) de otros.&lt;br /&gt;Por otra parte, quiero agradecer el apoyo de los auspiciantes que me ayudaron para poder realizar esta exhibición la cual estuvo excelentemente organizada por los ya mencionados Leopoldo Boulin y Gonzalo Mazzotta. Por Santa Fe quiero dar las gracias al amigo Lic. Amílcar Damián Renna, Asociación Civil Argé, Regional Trade y Jerárquicos Salud. Por parte de la ciudad de Mendoza no puedo dejar de mencionar a quienes pusieron también su confianza en mí, Sheraton Mendoza Hotel, Mazzotta Estate, Montemar Compañía Financiera S.A., Argentina Logística S.R.L. Según éstos los errores eran que tenía motor delantero refrigerado con líquido, era económico y no tenía suficiente potencia. Sin embargo, fue un modelo exitoso y hoy en día es muy buscado por los coleccionistas. Además se presentará y degustará en ese evento un vino de autor de un joven y emprendedor enólogo mendocino, el Sr. Gonzalo Mazzota, con lo cual esta exposición es una apuesta a nuevos talentos, en este caso, la pintura y el vino.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;También este año, al igual que el año pasado, la gente del Club Fiat Clásicos de Buenos Aires que, a través del señor Jorge Alonso, hoy presidente del club, y el Club Volvo, me invitan a exponer mis trabajos de ilustración en sus respectivos stands en Autoclásica en los jardines del hipódromo de San Isidro.&lt;br /&gt;Por otro lado quiero agradecer también al señor Javier Guadiana, del Dpto. Comunicación Retromóvil por hacerme hecho llegar la invitación para exponer en la edición 2011 en Madrid, España.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Desde ya, gracias a todos ustedes por confiar en mi trabajo.
